The Wirehaired Pointing Griffon breed is a square-shaped head, strong, medium-sized and graceful hunting dog. They are superior as a gundog and tracker and excellent hunting companions. This breed is gentle and affectionate with children, making it a perfect family dog. It is also a good watchdog.

Color(s): steel gray with brown markings; chesnut brown, roan, white and brown.
Coat: medium-length, wiry and straight.
Characteristics and temperaments: The Wirehaired Pointing Griffon breed is an obedient, intelligent, eager to please dog. They are excellent hunting companions. This breed is usually friendly and devoted. They get along with children but may sometimes nervous with strangers. Socialization is required to prevent the nervousness.
Care: Striping and trimming are necessary to keep the coat in the top condition. The Griffon sheds little to no hair. Keep the ear passages clean and pluck hair within regularly.
Training and activity: These dogs needs ample of eercise to stay happy and healthy. They make excellent jogging companion. It will do best in a country setting. Their intelligence and eager to please nature make training a relatively simple and fun process.
