The Vizsla breed is a lightly-built, medium-sized, powerful, muscular and short coat hunting dog. They are loving, gentle, smart, willful but trainable. This breed is active and should be appropriate for owners who expect this kind of trait. They get along well with children.

Characteristics and temperaments: The Vizsla breed is loving, gentle, demonstrative, willful and energetic dog. They excel in retrieving, tracking, pointing and hunting. Proper socialization make them live well with cats but should not be trusted with rabbits, hamster and others. This breed is able to adapt to his family fast.
Care: The short coat is easy to groom. As an average shedders, brushing with a firm bristle brush is required. Keep the nails trimmed.
Training and activity: This breed is energetic, making is inappropriate for apartment living. Indoors, they are moderately active. It is best if you can provide a medium-sized yard for their activity needs. This dog requires obedience training and proper socialization to keep it easy to handle. They need a patient and firm hand.
