The Skye Terrier breed is a stylish, elegant, strong, sturdy, muscular, long and low terrier. They are also very good-natured, polite but sometimes bold. This breed requires extensive socialization to avoid suspicious with strangers. They get along well with gentle children.

Color(s): black, blue, silver, grey, fawn, or cream.

Coat: double-coated; undercoat is short, close, wooly and soft while outercoat is hard, straight and flat.

Characteristics and temperaments: The Skye Terrier is affectionate, loyal, and reserved around strangers. This breed makes a good watchdog because it tends to bark a lot. They can get along with considerate children, but may become more aggressive to other dogs. The Skye likes to chase other animals too.

Care: Grooming at least once a week. Keep ears clean.

Training and activity: This breed needs training to be fair and consistent, and he don't like harsh approach. Extensive early socialization is required as a puppy. These dogs can adapt to the activity level of their family members, but long walks should make them healthy and happy too.
