The Bullmastiff breed is a strong, alert, and powerful dog with wrinkled head and dark muzzle. As a brave dog, he is protective to his family. The breed was originated from England and developed for protection against poachers.

Color(s): fawn, brindle and red; white spots are acceptable on the chest.

Coat: short and dense, darker on muzzle and ears.

Characteristics and temperaments: Loyal, obedient and courageous. He can be a great family dogs and get along well with children and other household pets. The Bullmastiff seldom attack but can be a good watchdog because he will catch and known intruders down.

Care: The short hair is easy to groom. Combing and brushing only when necessary. Remove dead hairs with a rubber brush.

Training and activity: A moderate amount of exercise should be enough to keep him healthy and happy. The dog can be lazy at times. Owners should carefully take care of his nutrition, because he can gain weight easily. Training and socialization are compulsory under the firm owners. The dog is sensitive and responsive but consistent is the key to successfully training with this breed.
