The Bulldog breed shows a strong and compact dog. He is small in stature but has wide shoulders. This intelligent breed was originally a fighting dog, but now is also good as a companion and family pet. Young bulldogs are energetic but slow down as they get older.

Characteristics and temperaments: Bulldogs are intelligent, affectionate, fearless, sensitive and dependable. Although his appearance can be somewhat intimidating, he is actually very gentle. The dog requires a lot of attention from family members.

Care: The short hair is easy to groom. Brushing and combing only when necessary. Keep the facial folds (wrinkles) clean.

Training and activity: Moderate exercise should keep the dog healthy and happy. Consistency is important in training but should be fun and simple. Especially at early age, he needs sufficient rest to develop healthy bones, joints and solid muscles.
